Bryn MacPhail | Session | Senior Pastor
Bryn was born and raised in Niagara Falls, Canada. After completing his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Western Ontario, Bryn enrolled at Ontario Theological Seminary (now Tyndale University & Seminary) where he received his Master of Theological Studies. He received his Master of Divinity from the University of Toronto (Knox College) and was ordained by The Presbyterian Church in Canada in 1998. Bryn was installed as the Pastor of St. Andrew's Kirk in June 2010, following an eight-year ministry at St. Giles Kingsway Presbyterian Church in Toronto, Ontario. Bryn is married to Allie, and their daughter, Anya, was born in 2002.

Earla Bethel | Session | Clerk of Session
Earla has been worshipping at the Kirk for over 30 years. She became an Elder in 2001 and Clerk of Session in 2008. Earla is the President of DanBrad Ltd., and is married to Dr. Cecil Bethel. Earla and Cecil's son, Brad, and his wife, Stephanie, currently live in Georgia.

Robin Brownrigg | Session
Robin became a member of the Kirk in 1976, and was married in the Kirk in 1986. Robin has been an elder since 1982, and served as the Clerk of Session for three years. Robin is the founder of Bahamas Realty, is married to Andrea, and they have two daughters, Brittany and Kienan, who are also members of the Kirk.

Lindsey Cancino | Session | Treasurer
Lindsey was baptized at the Kirk in 1962 and has been meaningfully involved ever since. Lindsey has been the Treasurer and Covenor of the Finance Committee since 1988, and has been a member of Session since 1992. A graduate of Queen's College and then The University of Western Ontario and The University of Windsor, Lindsey is a Chartered Accountant by profession, and is married to Lesley (nee Forde). Lindsey and Lesley have twin daughters, Jacqueline and Sophie, born in 2003, baptized and raised in the Kirk ever since.

Agreta Carey | Session
Agreta Eneas-Carey was born in Savannah, Georgia. She is the daughter of Dr. & Mrs. C. W. Eneas Sr., both of whom were elders in the Kirk. Agreta was baptized, confirmed, and married in the Kirk. Agreta is married to James Audley Carey III and they have two lovely children James Audley Carey IV, and Jolanda Carolyn Muriel Carey. Agreta attended the Morehouse school of medicine and later transfered to Howard University, school of medicine, where she graduated with a MD degree. Agreta is currently a practicing physician and is also the director of Geriatric medicine at Sandilands Rehabilitation Center. Agreta became an elder in 1992 and is a teacher in our sunday school.

Gavin Collins | Session | Bible Study Coordinator
Gavin was born and raised in Nassau and was blessed to be a child of loving Christian parents. Gavin is presently the General Sales Manager at Asa H Pritchard Ltd, where he has been employed since 1995. Gavin started attending the Kirk in the early 1990s with his fiance, Carrie. They were married in the Kirk in 1992 and became members. Their son, Harrison was born in 1996 and was baptized in the Kirk that same year and eventually confirmed as a member. Gavin is our point person for selecting Bible study curriculum and coordinating small group Bible studies. Carrie serves as the Superintendent of Sunday School at the Kirk, and Harrison serves as member of the Audio/Video team.

Davidson Hepburn | Session | Pastoral Care
Davidson has been an elder of the Kirk since 1972 and has served as the Clerk of Session and as the Sunday School Superintendent. Davidson is the President of the 35th session of UNESCO’s General Conference, and has served for 15 years at the United Nations, 10 of which as Ambassador of The Bahamas to UN. He has been involved with UNESCO since 1993 and has served as Chairman of The Bahamas National Commission to UNESCO, as well as Chairman of the Committee on Conventions and Recommendations.

Geoffrey Johnstone | Session
Sir Geoffrey Johnstone, a child of the Kirk and an elder since April 1963. Educated at Queen's College, Nassau and subsequently at the Inns of Court School of Law in London, England and then called to the Bar in Nassau as a counsel and attorney at law where he practiced law for forty-eight years.Sir Geoffrey Johnstone went to be with the Lord on August 4, 2017. He will be dearly missed.

Tim Lightbourn | Session
Tim became a member for the Kirk in the 1980's and an elder in 1999. Married to Ruth (nee Wiesendanger), they have two children, Rebecca and Philip. Tim has been our point person for hospitality for many years.

Margaret McKinney | Session | Facilities Usage Coordinator
From birth in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Margaret has been a Presbyterian.  She comes from a long line of elders in her family - her Paternal Grandfather, Father, Uncle, Aunt and Brother.  Margaret married Bahamian Errol McKinney in 1968 and immediately moved to Nassau, Bahamas, and transferred her membership from Westmount Presbyterian to the Kirk.  Margaret became an elder in 1993, has taught Sunday School for the past 20 years and has humbly served as Superintendent during those years.  Margaret & Errol's daughter, Tara, lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

E. Verona Douglas-Sands | Session
Rona was born in Jamaica and migrated to the Bahamas in 1967. She taught at A F Adderley, R M Bailey and Government High School. She joined The Kirk in the 1970s where she taught in the Sunday school for many years, sings in the choir and trained a Bell Ringing Choir. She holds a BSc. Degree from Prairie View A & M University, an M.Sc from the University of Miami, and an LLB Hons, from The University of London, called to the degree of Utter Bar at the Honourable Society Of Lincolns Inn and the Bahamas Bar in 1988 and served temporarily on the Magistrate's Bench. Rona is married to George Sands and blessed with several delightful children, an innumerable amount of grandchildren and great grand children plus 6 adopted children.

Donald Allen | Deacon
Donald has been worshipping at the Kirk since the late 1990s. He is an educator and school administrator, employed with the Ministry of Education for just over three decades. Donald and his wife, Beverley, have one son, Daniel, who currently resides in Halifax, Canada.

Peter Bates | Deacon | Facilities Management
Peter was born in Nassau from a family of Kirk members. He went to both St. Andrew's School and Queen's College in Nassau before going to St. Andrew's College in Aurora, Ontario, Canada. Peter graduated from the University of Waterloo with a (Hons.) Mathematics and Computer Science (Co-Op) degree. Peter is married to Kate Tsavousis and they are both principles in The SignMan and AdWorks respectively. Peter was ordained as a Deacon in 2017.

Annva Burrows | Deacon | Hospitality
Annva started attending the Kirk in 2013 after hearing so much about the wonderful missions the Kirk family was doing in the community. She shares how she found the Kirk to be a church family that is truly and actively carrying out Christ's mission to the world. She loves to describe how she was warmly welcomed into the Kirk family which led her to become involved in Proximity (Women's group), Sunday School, and small group bible studies. In 2015 she joined the Kirk family as a member.

Thomas Callaghan | Deacon | Food Bank Ministry
Thomas became a member of the Kirk in 2013 and was ordained as a deacon in 2017. He works as a quantitative researcher and is married to Kari. They have two children, Kallisti and Alexander. Before becoming a deacon, Thomas served on the Kirk's Education Committee.

Lesley Cancino | Deacon | Ranfurly Homes Ministry
Lesley grew up in Ebenezer Methodist church but started attending the Kirk in 1991 after her engagement to Lindsey Cancino. They were married in 1992 and Lesley became a member of the Kirk in 1994. Lesley & Lindsey have twin daughters Jacqueline & Sophie whom Lesley home schools. Lesley is currently President of the Board of directors for Bahamas Youth Network and Ministry Co-ordinator for Laurel House.

James Carey | Deacon | Pastoral Care
James Carey grew up in Rhodes Memorial Methodist Church in Nassau, Bahamas and started attending St Andrew's Presbyterian Church in 1992 following his marriage to Dr. Agreta Eneas. He became a member in 1993. He is a retired Assistant Commissioner of Police and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry(honors) from the University of the West Indies and a Master of Science degree in Forensic Science from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow Scotland. He is currently a security consultant. James has been a Sunday School teacher for more than 8 years and he and his wife Agreta Eneas Carey have been married for 25 years.

Amanda Drummond | Deacon | Ushering Ministry
Amanda was born in Nassau on April 1, 1961 to Kenneth Drummond of England and Myfanwy Drummond of Jamaica. She was educated at Queen's College to 6th Grade and continued her education in England at Royal Russell School in Croydon and two years at Hastings College studying Hotel Management and Catering. She returned to Nassau in 1979 working in the Hospitality Indsutry at the Flagler Inn, Loews Harbour Cove and Villas in Paradise. She is presently employed at Majestic Holidays Ltd. as Administrative Executive and Accounts Manager for the past 22 years. Amanda grew up in St. Andrew's Kirk and was confirmed on March 28, 1982.

Enrico Bain | Pastoral Intern
Enrico Bain was born on August 18th 1990. He grew up in Pinewood Gardens, Nassau Bahamas and attended Ebenezer Mission Baptist Church for most of his life. He surrendered his life to Christ at age 19 at and has been a member of St Andrew's Kirk from 2014. Enrico currently holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of The Bahamas, and is presently pursuing a Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary. He serves as one of the Kirk's first pastoral interns and functions in many other leadership capacities for ministries such as, LifeLine, City Lights, Camp Bahamas and the Bahamas Youth Network.

Jude Vilma | Pastoral Intern
Jude was born in Nassau on August 18, 1988 and was raised in Marsh Harbour, Abaco in a Haitian Creole community known as the Mud. He attended the University of the Bahamas and holds a Bachelors of Secondary Education in the Social Sciences. Jude has been involved with the Bahamas Youth Network since 2009, a Milagros scholar and thereafter started worshipping at the Kirk. After few years of teaching, he accepted a call to ministry and presently he is the second pastoral intern and pursuing a Masters of Arts and Religion degree from Reformed Theological Seminary. Jude is also a youth worker with the Bahamas Youth Network and has served in other leadership capacities with Camp Bahamas, coaching basketball and Young Life in Eleuthera.
